Three years after the initial publication of the 4.3-10 connector system, its large-scale rollout is now underway. The network operators have almost completed their evaluations, and products with 4.3-10 interfaces are already enjoying enormous popularity in the market. 4.3-10 was specifically developed for the mobile communications market. So far, existing connectors have been a major source for problems. Attention focused not only on connector miniaturization, but also on minimizing intermodulation and secure coupling mechanism.
As early as January 2015, SPINNER supplied all of the components for the world’s first in-building project based on 4.3-10. And now, less than two years after this premiere, the largest producers of base stations and antennas have already introduced new 4.3-10-based products to the market. 4.3-10 is thus advancing by leaps and bounds and is now poised to become the dominant connector system in the mobile communications market even earlier than expected.
“We are already supplying a considerable share of our connectors and jumpers based on 4.3-10,” says Reiner Berchtold, the product manager for connectors and jumpers at SPINNER. “The market shares of 7-16, N and 4.1-9.5 are now going to decline steadily, and I expect more than half of all new RF products to use 4.3-10 within another year.”SPINNER is one of the drivers of 4.3-10 in the marketplace, as is shown by our active participation in the 4.3-10 NGMN Task Force and the Huaweii Antenna Forum 2016, among other things.
We have been working hard for years to migrate our portfolio to the new technology. The SPINNER 4.3-10 catalogue is regularly updated and can be downloaded here.
