The data volumes transmitted by rotating systems in industrial facilities are steadily growing. Users’ expectations are also increasing – not only regarding performance and transmission quality, but also where the reliability of machines is concerned. In many cases, independently of the rotational speeds involved, they need to be able to operate reliably 24/7 without any interruptions.
Slip rings began approaching their limits long ago, but you can continue to rely on contactless rotary transmitters from SPINNER – whether you only need to transfer data or power or both. Contactless transmitters are especially valuable in applications involving large diameters, high data transfer volumes, and long maintenance intervals.
The new compact transmission systems now available from SPINNER brilliantly combine proven contactless data transfer on real-time bus systems with power transmission up to 750W, while still leaving space inside the central axis for device-specific connections to the rotating unit.

A dedicated version for contactless transmission with 48V/500W and a clear inside diameter of 100 mm is now in development and will probably be available toward the end of the 2nd quarter of 2022.
