SPINNER presents a new, compact design UHF mask filter for up to 18 kW power covering all TV standards (ATSC, ATV, DVB-T, DVB-T2, DVB-T2 extended and ISDB-T).
The filter offers waveguide filter power handling capacity without the drawbacks of big size and the probable need for a replacement filter in case of retuning (tuning range of waveguide filters is just a part of the UHF band).
SPINNER is refining all UHF mask filters with the target of improving the RF performance and tuning capability of the filters so that they can cover all worldwide TV standards. The new filter family was introduced with the launch of the UHF low power filters size 60, and was supplemented by the medium and high power filters size 120 and 170.
Why does SPINNER make huge efforts to cover all standards with one filter model in its power class?
As the world continues to grow together, transmitter manufacturers are no longer regional players. They cater for all TV-standards globally. A “one size fits all” solution substantially simplifies planning efforts and logistics for the transmitter manufacturers. Now the latest development, a high power filter of size 230, will be added to our portfolio. The 6 cavity version will be presented to the trade audience at the NAB show. An 8 cavity version will follow soon. The filter is fully tunable within the UHF band from 470 MHz to 800 MHz.
