SPINNER Launches Extremely Compact DAB Low Power Filters and Combiners

SPINNER has launched a complete family of small filters, starpoint and  CIB combiners for low power DAB. The size is optimized to fit into 19” racks with a height of 2 rack units only.

To avoid the usual disadvantages of small filters like high insertion loss and instability SPINNER has reduced the height only and kept the cavities at a reasonable size.

The new and small filters and combiners for Low Power DAB can fulfill nearly all requirements:

•    Non-adjacent blocks can be combined via starpoint combiners.
•    Adjacent blocks can be combined via CIB combiners (NB power rating reduced).
•    A triple of 3 adjacent blocks can be combined via a 2-way starpoint followed by a CIB for the centre block.
•    More than 4 blocks can be combined via subsequent CIB combiners.
•    All filters and combiners can be equipped with accessories like 19” mountings, monitoring couplers or front plates.

The filters and combiners cover the typical DAB frequency range 216 – 240 MHz (11A – 13F) and provide mask filtering for all narrow band inputs.
